After four years in business Judy Hysek and Eden Cafe have officially found their home on Ellicott St in Batavia. The vegan eatery has created a niche market for themselves in the county and draws people from all across WNY to Batavia.

Judy was one of the original winners of the “Foodie Challenge” in 2017 and had space inside of Eli Fish Brewing Company that opened in April of 2018. After navigating the pandemic and receiving years of advice from fellow restaurateur Matty Gray, Judy was actively searching for her own space. One of her customers, Stephen Valle, approached her about a space available on Ellicott St and after months of hard work and a soft opening earlier in the year, Eden Café has officially celebrated their grand opening!

Judy loves Batavia, it’s where she is from. People have approached her about moving her business to Buffalo or Rochester but she really feels like they are needed here. There are other vegan eateries in the larger cities and they want to serve people locally. Eden Cafe will always be in Batavia.
