About Us
The Arc of Genesee Orleans is dedicated to helping people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) meet their full potential. Our goal is to eliminate barriers and help individuals engage in the world. We strive to help people we serve find fulfillment in learning, personal relationships, employment, recreation, the arts, and more.
We are a private, nonprofit organization founded by parents and friends of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We serve individuals with a variety of disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and neurological conditions. In 2016, Genesee ARC and The Arc of Orleans County, two neighboring organizations sharing the same mission, merged to form the Arc of Genesee Orleans.
The Arc of Genesee Orleans serves more than 1,000 individuals with I/DD of all ages in Genesee and Orleans counties of New York. We employ more than 400 professionals who provide assessment, health, educational, therapeutic, supportive, vocational, and residential services.
We recognize that each individual has unique needs. Our staff is available to help your family set personal goals and create a plan for the future.
